A New Grant to Develop our Cultured Meat Offering!

Naturbeads has won a new SMART project with Innovate UK!

As the global population increases, providing enough protein to meet everyone's needs is becoming more and more unsustainable. The rise in CO2 emissions, land availability, and generally intensive farming is unacceptable.

Cellular Agriculture - the science of producing meat in a laboratory - promises to create a substantially more efficient protein supply. The industry is still in the very early stages and most of the players are start-ups. One such start-up is Cellular Agriculture Ltd. from Bath (UK ) with whom we have decided to collaborate to produce the ideal substrate for cultivated meat growth. This grant from Innovate UK will support our joint studies in this field.
